What is the record for spacebar counter

The spacebar counter is an amazing tool that has become popular over the last few years. It is a feature on many keyboard apps which tracks the distance, speed and number of times the spacebar is pressed. The purpose of the counter is to measure how fast and accurately someone can type by counting the number of times they can hit the spacebar within a particular time limit.

The World Record Spacebar Counter has been established as 23 taps in 5 seconds, with an average of 4.5 taps per second. The record was set by British gamer Kieran Khaira on July 1, 2020. He achieved this record using a dedicated speed typing software called Key Hero on a standard Logitech G Pro gaming keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches and O-ring dampeners to reduce sound.

Khaira's record was previously held by American gamer Derek Blaseck who tapped the keys 22 times in 5 seconds, with an average of 4.4 taps per second. It took three months for Khaira to beat Blaseck's previous record and become the world-record holder for Spacebar Counter performance. Khaira said that he created a strict practice routine in order to achieve his goal: "I practiced various drills 4 hours every day, focusing on accuracy and consistency while keeping up with my specific timing," said Khaira in a YouTube video explaining how he achieved his record performance.

In addition to achieving the world record for Spacebar Counter performance, Kieran Khaira now holds five other records in various areas related to speed typing and gaming key presses including fastest time for typing 1000 words (3 minutes 3 seconds) and highest score for TypingTestNow (98%).
